Major Depression
You have major depression if you feel depressed most of the time. Here are some more symptoms:
- Things that normally brought you pleasure no longer do so
- Picking up, or losing, weight
- Sleeping poorly: insomnia or sleep difficulties
- Feeling edgy and unsettled, or else very lethargic and listless
- Feeling fatigued and without energy
- Feeling unimportant, worthless or guilty
- Difficulty in focusing or decision-making
- Thinking of suicide
If you have experienced five of these symptoms persistently over a two week period, you may have major depression.
